Known locally as Sahing and internationally as Elemi, this oil is distilled from the resin of Canarium luzonicum — a tree native to the Philippines and long valued for its aromatic exudate.
The resin is gathered and steam-distilled to yield an oil that is bright, resinous, and lightly spiced. It opens with a fresh, lemon-like clarity before settling into a soft peppered warmth and a clean balsamic finish. Sahing sits between citrus brightness and resin depth — structured, luminous, and versatile.
In perfumery, Elemi is prized for its ability to lift blends while adding subtle resinous backbone. As Sahing oil, it carries that same clarity — sharp without harshness, grounding without heaviness.
This is not a sweet oil. It is clean, articulate, and quietly powerful.
