Raw tree resin gathered from the fruit-bearing pili tree.
Before distillation, before refinement, before oil — there is resin.
Pili resin forms where the trunk of Canarium ovatum is carefully incised, allowing sap to emerge and harden upon exposure to air. The same tree known for its edible nut also yields this aromatic substance — translucent to amber, brittle yet pliable when warmed.
In parts of the Philippines, resin has long served practical purposes: as kindling, as sealing material, as aromatic smoke. Its scent, when gently heated, releases a bright resinous clarity with subtle citrus and soft spice.
Each piece varies in size and surface. No two fragments are identical. What you hold is not standardized — it is gathered.
This is not processed fragrance.
It is forest material.
